Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), a New York-based renewable subsidiary of Libra Group, has acquired the 556 MW DC Homestead Solar Project from Kiwetinohk Energy in Alberta, Canada. The project is located in the Municipal District of Willow Creek and is recognized as Canada’s second-largest solar development currently under progress. According to GSI, the acquisition has expanded its renewable portfolio to about 2.1 GW DC of solar capacity and 340 MW of battery storage. GSI has already delivered 581 MW DC across 82 projects and continues to pursue large-scale solar and storage opportunities. As per Libra Group, the transaction was completed after rigorous due diligence and reflected its established expertise in renewable infrastructure investments.
