Newyork headquartered, Khasma Capital has invested $7 million in OnePlanet Solar Recycling LLC to support a solar panel recycling facility in Green Cove Springs, Florida. OnePlanet, based in Jacksonville, is constructing a site that will recover materials including aluminum, copper, silicon, and glass from used solar modules. The project also received a $14.5 million allocation under the federal 48C(e) Clean Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Projects tax credit. The facility is set to handle 2 million modules annually at the start, with a planned expansion to 6 million per year by 2030. The development aims to improve solar module waste processing capacity and material recovery infrastructure in the United States.
