JMK Research & Analytics, an India-based clean energy consultancy, has reported a slight decline in solar module prices in its June 2025 update. As per JMK Research, Mono PERC 500 Wp and bifacial modules are priced at INR 17.70/Wp (~$0.21/Wp) and INR 17.80/Wp (~$0.21/Wp), while TOPCon modules have dropped to INR 18.90/Wp (~$0.23/Wp). The key market updates in manufacturing sector include TP Solar surpassing 4 GW in module output and 1.4 GW in cell production at its Tirunelveli plant, which is India’s largest integrated solar facility. Involt Energy has started constructing a 1.78 GW TOPCon solar cell facility in Gujarat and has announced an additional 3 GW expansion. Saatvik Solar is building an integrated manufacturing hub in Odisha with 8.8 GW combined module and cell capacity. Premier Energies has commissioned a 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell line in Hyderabad, raising its capacity to 3.2 GW. TANFAC Industries has launched a 5,000 TPA solar-grade DHF plant for PV cell processing.
India’s solar prices ease, major manufacturing projects progress in June
JMK Research reported falling PV module prices in June 2025, while Involt Energy, Satvik Solar, and TP Solar announced manufacturing capacity expansions in India.
