Jinko Solar, a China-based global PV modules manufacturer, has signed a MoU with the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA), a African national body representing the solar sector in the country. As part of the agreement, Jinko Solar is recognized as SAPVIA’s Sustainable Clean Technology Partner and SAPVIA is recognized as Jinko Solar’s Sustainable Innovative Business Partner to formalize the collaboration. Their collaboration will focus on knowledge transfer, institutional capacity building, and support training for workers to help strengthen South Africa’s renewable energy transition. According to SAPVIA, the agreement is expected to improve professional training opportunities and increase employment opportunities for local solar workers. Jinko Solar has reported global cumulative module shipments of 350 GW by mid-2025, demonstrating its scale of supply in international solar markets. Its Tiger Neo n-type product line has reached 200 GW shipments by August 2025, marking the highest deliveries for a single product series. Earlier this year, Jinko Solar regained its BloombergNEF Tier 1 ranking for Q3 2025, reaffirming its position in global solar markets.
