China headquartered JA Solar was ranked first worldwide in the Wood Mackenzie Global Solar Module Manufacturer Ranking for the first half of 2025. The ranking was released by Wood Mackenzie using a customer-centric assessment framework. It assessed 38 crystalline silicon PV module manufacturers operating across global markets. These companies were represented most global photovoltaic manufacturing capacity and shipment volumes. JA Solar achieved an overall score of 91.7, the highest recorded score. Evaluation criteria covered manufacturing experience, vertical integration, capacity utilization and technology maturity. Further assessment included research investment, financial strength, supply chain resilience, and certification performance. JA Solar delivered strong results across all evaluated categories during the review period. The outcome reinforced its bankability for developers, lenders, and project partners. Wood Mackenzie had ranked JA Solar second globally based on 2024 performance data.
