JA Solar, a China-based manufacturer of PV modules, will supply its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules for Croatia’s 99 MW Korlat Solar Project, currently under construction. The project is being developed by China Northern International Group and Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute, both China-based engineering and construction firms. The selected modules are certified for resistance to salt mist, ammonia, sand abrasion, snow load, and high wind pressure. Once operational, the Korlat facility is anticipated to generate approximately 165 million kWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power 50,000 homes. the asset is forecasted to reduce 150,000 tons of carbon emissions per year. During the groundbreaking, Croatia's Prime Minister and the Chinese Ambassador endorsed the project which fits into Croatia's 2050 goal of achieving 88% renewable electricity.
