Dominican Republic-based InterEnergy Group has acquired BMR Energy Limited’s subsidiary in the British Virgin Islands, along with its assets, for $122 million. The transaction includes 36.3 MW of wind capacity in Jamaica and 25 MW across four solar parks in Guatemala, the US Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands. The assets include the BMR Jamaica Wind Farm with 11 Vestas turbines and four solar projects operating under long-term power purchase agreements. The acquisition increases InterEnergy’s renewable energy portfolio to over 80% of its 2.4 GW capacity, reflecting its expansion in the Caribbean and Central America.
