IBC SOLAR, provider of solar energy solutions,has expanded globally by adding subsidiaries in France and Austria in 2025. The France office, based in Lyon, is operational from July to better serve local clients. The Austria subsidiary, launched in March in Vienna, focuses on regional demand and installer support. Austria has seen rising interest in storage and snow-resistant mounting systems. In April, IBC SOLAR acquired a majority stake in SOLARWORLD Africa, based in Cape Town. A full takeover is planned by 2027. SOLARWORLD Africa has over 40 years of experience in solar solutions. It will merge with IBC’s South African unit to unify operations. The move extends IBC’s operations in Africa with a focus on residential, commercial, and storage projects.

Germany’s IBC SOLAR launched units in France and Austria and took majority control of SOLARWORLD Africa in 2025 to scale regional solar operations and storage offerings.
