Huasun Energy, a China-based manufacturer of heterojunction (HJT) modules, has signed a strategic cooperation framework with Shanghai Hency Solar Technology, a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Group. The cooperation framework has aligned Huasun’s 20 GW ingot-to-module HJT capacity with Shanghai Electric’s expertise in digital integration and advanced manufacturing. According to Huasun, the alliance is focused on HJT efficiency improvements, tandem cell research, and standardization to support large-scale commercialization. Both Huasun and Shanghai Electric have confirmed that coordinated production planning and supply-chain integration were prioritized to improve resilience in global deployment processes. The agreement has also included joint branding efforts and overseas project development to expand international photovoltaic market presence. Both firms are members of China’s 760 W+ High Efficiency HJT Club and were advancing from technical collaboration to an industrial partnership. Earlier this year, Huasun had partnered with Talesun and C&D to expand global deployment of HJT solar solutions.
