Huasun Energy, a China-based manufacturer of heterojunction (HJT) products, has recently hosted a delegation from the Martin Green PV Lab at its Xuancheng headquarters. The visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation on industrial HJT development, tandem solar cell design, and vertical PV system innovation. Huasun Energy has presented its two-terminal tandem solution, which achieved 30% efficiency at pilot scale with scale-up work underway. According to Huasun Energy, technical workshops focused on copper finger processes, rear-side optical strategies, and edge passivation to enhance HJT cell efficiency. Field data from Huasun Energy’s vertical bifacial HJT project showed near-100% bifaciality supporting stable morning and evening power output. The Martin Green PV Lab discussed directional optical management to exceed the 29.4% crystalline silicon efficiency limit. Both sides agreed to expand cooperation on tandem cell design, metallization processes, and simulation modeling.
