HELIUP wins Gold European Solar Startup Award 2025

SolarPower Europe has awarded HELIUP the 2025 Gold European Solar Startup Award recognizing the company’s lightweight rooftop PV modules designed for flat surfaces.

At the 2025 SolarPower Summit, organized by SolarPower Europe, HELIUP received the Gold European Solar Startup Award for its innovative rooftop PV module design. The award recognizes advancements in the solar sector. HELIUP’s Stykon panels, designed specifically for flat rooftop installations, weigh 5 kg/m², making them 60% lighter than conventional modules. They achieve 20% efficiency and are built to withstand hail and wind speeds exceeding 270 km/h. The core technology behind HELIUP’s panels was developed over three years at CEA INES (Institut National de l’Energie Solaire) and is patent-protected. The design maintains the use of thin glass while introducing a direct bonding method, allowing the panels to be attached directly to the waterproofing membrane of flat rooftops. Company offers a 12-year product warranty and a 25-year linear power output warranty for its modules.
