GreenGo Energy, a Danish renewable energy development company, has now extended its business in Mexico to include full-scale project development in origination, engineering, and construction. The company will focus on utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS, including hybrid set-ups for grid services. This follows the orientation of Mexico's General Law of Climate Change, which targets a 50% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and over 40GW of solar and wind capacity by 2030. GreenGo Energy's Mexican subsidiary, GOGREEN ENERGY currently operates with a 15-member global engineering team. GreenGo Energy has also established a new origination and development department to support its regional expansion. As per national regulations, private developers may supply up to 46% of total generation, enabling a potential 9.6GW opportunity. Earlier this year, GreenGo Energy also completed a 60MW solar park in Denmark, reinforcing its international project delivery record.
