Spain-headquartered Solar Steel, a solar tracker design supplier, has signed an agreement to supply 472 MW (DC)/396 MW (AC) of 1P solar trackers to Inver Renewable Management, a Grupo Enhol subsidiary. The supply is for the CSF Illa project in La Joya, Arequipa, Peru. The project involves over 6,800 trackers and will use more than 740,000 high-power modules. It is expected to generate 1.2 TWh of electricity annually, covering around 2.5% of Peru’s electricity needs. Construction has started and is planned to last at least 30 years. The project holds generation and transmission concessions and environmental certification. Both companies have planned social and environmental investments to support local communities.
