Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation, a Japan-based renewable energy developer, has announced that its subsidiary, Eurus Energy Chile SpA, commissioned the 9 MW Venezia Solar Project in Chile on July 9 2025. This commissioning has marked Eurus Energy Chile’s eighth facility under the country’s Small Distributed Generation Program (PMGD). According to Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation, the eight projects have capacities ranging from 3 MW to 9 MW and are located 50 to 400 km from Santiago. Eurus Energy Chile has been operating solar plants in the country since 2017 and began with two initial facilities. With the addition of the Venezia project, Eurus Energy Group’s total installed capacity in Chile has reached 67.8 MW AC, equivalent to about 80 MW DC. The portfolio also align with Chile’s national objective of achieving full decarbonization by 2050, alongside its continued promotion of renewable energy expansion across multiple regions of the country.
Eurus Energy Chile commissions eighth PMGD solar plant
The 9 MW Venezia plant was commissioned as Eurus Energy Chile’s eighth PMGD project in July 2025, raising the company’s total installed capacity in Chile to 67.8 MW AC.
