Denmark-headquartered European Energy divested its largest utility-scale solar project on February 18, 2025. The latest divestment aligned with its approach of developing, delivering, and reinvesting in renewable energy projects. Once operational, the solar park was expected to generate approximately 1,389 GWh of electricity annually, supplying power to around 128,000 US households. This marked its second major divestment in the US since entering the market, bringing its total divested capacity to 800 MW. The company’s first US project, Project Yellow Viking in Texas, was divested in 2023.
