Equinor ASA, is a Norwegian multinational energy company, has begun production at the 65MW Ingerslev Å solar plant in Jutland, Denmark, through its subsidiary BeGreen. This was BeGreens first project to reach production since Equinor acquired the company in 2023. With this launch, all four of Equinors onshore renewables and battery storage subsidiaries had operational assets. The plant, built in under a year, features over 100,000 solar panels and six transformer stations. It is expected to produce 68GWh of electricity annually. Danske Commodities will sell the power generated on merchant terms in the DK1 market. Equinor reported a total of 1.2GW of onshore capacity either operating or under construction. The launch of the Ingerslev Å solar plant aligns with Equinor’s broader strategy under its newly formed PWR Division, focused on scaling onshore renewables.
