Germany-based ENVIRIA, a solar company, was awarded 22 rooftop solar projects with a total output of 53.45 MW in the February 2025 tender by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur, BNetzA). This covered 17 % of the total awarded capacity. Some ENVIRIA customers also won bids on their own. ENVIRIA will build all the systems, which adds to its overall project workload. In total, 143 bids with 317 MW were accepted, with feed-in tariffs between 7.90 and 9.69 ct/kWh. ENVIRIA will set up and run the systems, while customers will get rental payments for using their rooftops. The solar power can be bought from ENVIRIA. Most systems are planned to connect to the grid in the third and fourth quarters of 2025. Recently, BlackRock and ENGIE invested $200 million in ENVIRIA.
