India-based Enfinity Global has closed EUR 316 million(~ 370 million) in financing to construct eight utility-scale solar plants totaling 276 MW across Emilia Romagna, Basilicata, and Lazio, Italy. The club deal involved ING, Rabobank, and BNP Paribas as mandated lead arrangers, lenders, hedging counterparties, and green loan coordinators. The package combined EUR 214 million(~ $ 250 million) in non-recourse senior debt with EUR 101 million(~ $ 118 million) in facilities for VAT, letters of credit, PV modules, and decommissioning. Once operational by 2026, the portfolio is expected to generate about 403 GWh annually, equivalent to the power use of 150,000 households, while cutting 109,000 tons of COâ‚‚ emissions each year. This marks Enfinity’s largest project financing in Italy and brings its total raised in the country over the past two years to EUR 1.3 billion(~ $ 1.52 billion), supporting an 8 GW pipeline including 564 MW under construction.
