energyRe, a US-based renewable energy developer, announced it had reached financial close on a portfolio of solar projects in South Carolina. The transaction totaled about $370 million in construction and term financing, arranged by Santander, Bank of America, Natixis, and Société Générale. Santander acted as the financial advisor and administrative agent for the deal. According to energyRe, the projects were developed to meet growing electricity demand with reliable and affordable energy. Once operational, the portfolio was expected to generate enough power to supply approximately 36,000 homes each year.
