Energy America, a US-based solar project developer headquartered in California, has secured financial close for its 280 MW solar plant in Texas. The project, scheduled to start construction in Q4 2025 and achieve operations by Q4 2026, will supply power to the ERCOT grid. It complies with the US Inflation Reduction Act, ensuring over 52% of components are domestically manufactured. Solar modules, including TOPCon and PERC types rated between 580 W and 650 W, will be produced at Energy America’s facilities across three US states. Ganymede Utilities will manage engineering and construction, while Centauri oversees design using advanced modeling tools. The asset will generate power for 45,000 homes, create 250 jobs, and offset 400,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. In the last year, Energy America signed an agreement with Exim Bank to strengthen international module distribution.
