Ecosuite, a US-based digital infrastructure provider, has been selected for DCPSC’s Solar Aggregation and Advanced Inverter Pilot under the PowerPath DC initiative. Ecogy Energy, a Brooklyn-based distributed energy developer, is participating alongside Ecosuite to support grid modernization in Washington, D.C. Ecosuite has deployed a secure platform enabling real-time, two-way communication and dynamic inverter control at Ecogy Energy’s distributed solar sites. The pilot is being implemented in collaboration with PEPCO and overseen by a governance board of community, environmental, and industry representatives. The project aims to increase solar hosting capacity, reduce interconnection costs, and demonstrate aggregated DERs as flexible grid-support assets. According to DCPSC, the results will inform interconnection policies and evaluate how open-source coordination platforms improve grid reliability, affordability, and resilience.
