ECER, Inc., a US electronics recycling firm with headquarters in Massachusetts, launched a national solar panel recycling service to handle end-of-life PV equipment. The service provides live-load pickups, container supply, and drop-off services for home, commercial, and utility-scale installations. The service collects crystalline silicon and thin-film panels, derelict or decommissioned modules, inverters, racking, wiring, and other solar e-waste. Reyclable materials such as copper and aluminum are recovered via managed dismantling processes, while toxic components are taken out in accordance with environmental laws. The service supports solar contractors, property owners, utilities, and other parties during system removal, upgrades, or decommissioning. Recycling certificates for compliance and documentation are available to clients. By integrating solar panels into its own electronics recycling facility, East Coast Electronics Recycling has answered the increasing call for sustainable waste disposal in the expanding solar industry.
