DayOne Data Centers, a Malaysia-based digital infrastructure company, has signed a 21-year Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). The agreement grants DayOne access to up to 500MW of renewable energy, supplied by TNB Renewables and supported by new solar generation capacity. It marks Malaysia’s first Bilateral Energy Supply Contract (BESC) under the CRESS framework and supports operations at Nusajaya and Kempas Tech Parks. CRESS enables corporate users to procure renewable power directly through TNB’s grid to facilitate emissions reduction. The deal builds on earlier collaboration under the Green Lane Pathway and One-Stop Center, including rooftop solar via GSPARX and fiber connectivity through ALLO. Earlier this year, TNB announced plans to develop floating PV projects on hydrodam lakes to expand solar capacity within the national grid.
