US-based Cypress Creek Renewables, an independent power producer, and Meta have signed an Environmental Attribute Purchase Agreement (EAPA) for a 505 MW (DC) (396 MW (AC)) solar facility in Texas. The Hanson Solar project, owned and operated by Cypress Creek, was planned for Coleman County to supply power to the ERCOT grid. The project aimed to support Metaβs clean energy targets and data center operations. Once completed, it was expected to generate over $80 million in local tax revenue and create more than 300 construction jobs. Construction was scheduled to begin later in the year, with operations set for 2027. Recently, Cypress Creek has inaugrated solar and storage facility.
