CVC Capital Partners, through its infrastructure arm CVC DIF, has agreed to acquire the Gabriela hybrid PV-BESS project from Grenergy in Chile. The utility-scale project includes 272 MW of solar PV and 1,100 MWh of battery storage. It is under construction in Northern Chile and is expected to reach COD in early 2026. The project is backed by a 15-year USD-denominated, inflation-indexed hybrid PPA. Grenergy has highlighted the deal as a validation of its hybridization model. CVC DIF has over 7 GW of renewable assets and active investments in storage projects. The acquisition is aligned with its strategy to expand in grid-resilient energy infrastructure. Transfer of ownership will follow COD, subject to standard closing conditions. CVC DIF is advised by BNP Paribas, Cuatrecasas, KPMG, Valgesta, DNV, and Marsh on this transaction.
