CleanChoice Energy, a US-based green power provider, has acquired two utility-scale solar projects in New York. The Dolan project in Washington County and the Hawthorn project in Rensselaer County each have a 27.1 MW capacity, totaling 54.2 MW. The projects were developed by CS Energy and selected by NYSERDA under its latest large-scale renewable energy awards. Construction is scheduled for Fall 2025, with interconnection to National Grid planned for Q4 2026. Covering 133 and 117 acres respectively, the two farms will double CleanChoice’s generation capacity in the Mid-Atlantic. The company previously launched solar projects in Franklin and Kylertown, Pennsylvania. CleanChoice also donated $70,000 to the Hoosick Fire District and announced scholarships for local students pursuing sustainability fields.
