CLARITAS Investments, a London-based renewable energy developer, has secured Contracts for Difference (cfd) for 169 MW of solar projects in Arad County, Western Romania. The 169 MW capacity is part of CLARITAS Investments’ 550 MW PV portfolio, which was granted grid connection approvals earlier this year. CLARITAS Investments has stated that the CfD award is ensuring financial stability and project bankability during both development and construction stages. CLARITAS Investments has confirmed that the installations will cut more than 285,000 tonnes of annual CO₂ emissions in the region, and is anticipated to supply electricity to more than thousands of Romanian homes upon installation. CLARITAS Investments has described the secured contracts as a major step in advancing PV capacity expansion within Romania.
