Catalyze, a US-based developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) of distributed renewable energy assets, has secured a $400 million multiyear debt facility from ATLAS SP Partners, a finance and securitized products firm majority owned by Apollo funds. The funding will support the construction and expansion of Catalyze’s commercial, industrial, community solar, and battery storage projects across the US. Catalyze stated that the facility enhances financial flexibility and streamlines funding for future developments. Catalyze currently has 300 MW in operation and construction, with over 1 GW in its project pipeline. The financing is expected to double its operational capacity by year-end. ATLAS highlighted its expertise in solar asset-backed financing, providing Catalyze with the necessary flexibility for expansion. Catalyze’s private equity sponsors, EnCap Investments and Actis, continue to back its growth strategy.
