Argentina based Central Puerto S.A. has signed a purchase agreement with Canadian Solar Energy Group B.V. and Canadian Solar UY Holding Latam S.A. The deal is for acquiring 100% of Fieldfare Argentina S.R.L., which owns the Cafayate Solar Project in Salta Province. The project has an installed capacity of 80 MW and produces about 220 GWh annually. Closing of the transaction is scheduled for September 2, 2025, subject to customary conditions. Fieldfare Argentina S.R.L. was previously managed by Canadian Solar entities. The acquisition is part of Central Puerto’s ongoing strategy to expand its energy portfolio. The company has been diversifying its technology base and strengthening its role in renewable generation. This transaction was a significant step in that direction.
