An International law firm, Bird & Bird’s Warsaw Finance Team helped Danish investor Obton A/S secure financing to develop 72 solar farms with a total capacity of 75 MW across Poland. The financing, worth about PLN 176 million, came from PKO Bank Polski, which often funds large renewable projects. Dentons advised PKO Bank Polski on the deal. The Bird & Bird team, led by Olga Koszewska and supported by Krzysztof Wiśniewski, Alicja Wilczura and Bartłomiej Kurzac, worked with Bird & Bird’s Warsaw Energy Team. The transaction involved multiple entities in Poland and Denmark and marked another Obton investment in the Polish solar market.
