On India’s 79th Independence Day, Bharat Climate Forum (BCF) has announced its first-year milestones, marking key achievements in 2025. BCF is a joint initiative of Dalberg Advisors and the Council of International Economic Understanding headquartered in India, was launched to align economic growth with climate leadership. In January 2025, BCF has launched the Bharat Cleantech Manufacturing Platform, which has unified stakeholders from policy, finance, research, and industry across six cleantech sectors. BCF has designed and submitted the National Manufacturing Mission blueprint to the Government of India. The Mission has shaped provisions in the Union Budget 2025, directed deliberations at the level of ministers, and formalized contacts at the national and international level. BCF has signed a MoU with the International Solar Alliance which has co-ordinated international cooperation for cleantech manufacturing. Other initiatives included forming the Cleantech Supply Chain Finance Working Group and developing cleantech curricula in 100 engineering colleges. BCF further hosted the Aironomics Summit on air pollution in May 2025, where more than 300 policymakers, corporate leaders, and experts participated.
