Berde Summit unites Southeast Asia for distributed energy rollout

Berde Renewables, the Southeast Asia clean energy developer, has organized the 2025 Collaboration Summit in Manila to facilitate distributed energy resources and resilience. Over 140 energy, telecom, finance, real estate, EPC, and government players from Southeast Asia attended the summit. Rooftop solar, battery storage, and smart grids were discussed as top technologies for power decentralization and reducing the risk of grid failure. The Philippine government also presented their incentives under the Strategic Investment Priorities Plan and reaffirmed its 2050 more than 50% target for renewable energy. Berde Renewables has pledged to install 5 GW of distributed energy in Southeast Asia within the next five years. The summit also touched on AI-powered grid modernization and battery integration, and ended with an appeal for regional and cross-industry cooperation to provide long-term energy stability.
