BELECTRIC, a Germany-based solar engineering, procurement, and construction company, has commissioned the 96.7 MW Herleshof solar farm in Kolitzheim, Germany. The project is now the largest PV facility in the Schweinfurt district and is located near BELECTRIC’s headquarters. It spans three project areas and covers approximately 67.2 hectares, and has been equipped with over 165,000 bifacial solar modules. Since commissioning, the solar farm has been producing around 105 GWh of electricity annually. Voltage Energy delivered photovoltaic cabling solutions for the project to support system connectivity and infrastructure integration. A 35 MW / 70 MWh BESS is in final planning and is expected to stabilize the local grid once operational. BELECTRIC has allocated over 16 hectares for habitat zones to protect species such as ortolans, skylarks, and partridges. Protective fencing was installed to safeguard nearby biotopes, and hedges and bee colonies will be introduced. BELECTRIC, part of Elevion Group, is managing the site’s operation, maintenance, and servicing.
