London-headquartered Basalt Infrastructure Partners has agreed to sell Mareccio Energia to Green Utility. The portfolio includes 66 operational solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 61 MW. These assets are located across Puglia, Umbria, and Sicily. Green Utility plans to revamp and repower parts of the portfolio. The acquisition supports its expansion strategy in Italy’s distributed solar market. InfraVia, its majority shareholder since late 2024, is backing the growth roadmap. Green Utility aims to scale from 50 MW to over 170 MW within a year. The company focuses on self-consumption and distributes solar for C&I clients. Its model integrates behind-the-meter and standalone generation near demand centers. Lazard advised Green Utility on the deal. ValeCapsupports Basalt. Transaction closing is expected by September 2025. Financial terms were not disclosed.
