Banpu NEXT, a Thailand-based Net Zero solutions provider, and SolarBK, a Vietnam-based solar technology firm, have established a joint venture (JV) to expand industrial solar power in Vietnam. The partnership is set to install 390 MW of rooftop solar in its initial phase, focusing on manufacturers, eco-industrial parks, high-tech parks, and data centers. SolarBK is specialized in solar design, installation, operations and maintenance, renewable energy certificate consulting, and remote energy management. Banpu NEXT said that it brings expertise in Net Zero solutions and large-scale solar deployment across the Asia-Pacific region. As per SolarBK, the JV is part of its 2025-2030 strategy and aligns with Vietnam’s energy policies to address the growing industrial demand for clean power. According to government projections, Vietnam’s electricity generation is expected to reach 124.57 billion kWh by 2025, with an annual growth rate of 3.35%.
