Foulath Holding, a Bahrain-based industrial group and parent company of Bahrain Steel and SULB, has partnered with UAE-based solar developer Yellow Door Energy to establish a 123 MWp solar project in Bahrain. The project was announced during the Gateway Gulf 2025 Forum in Manama and is being developed under a long-term PPA. According to Foulath Holding, the portfolio includes ten rooftop and four ground-mounted systems comprising 189,900 solar panels across 707,000 sq mts. The installation is expected to generate 200 million kWh of electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by about 90,000 metric tons. Actis, the majority shareholder of Yellow Door Energy, has provided support to ensure the project’s financial and operational structure. Recently, Yellow Door Energy had inaugurated a 2 MW rooftop solar plant at Riyadh’s Second Industrial City under MODON’s patronage, strengthening its regional presence in industrial solar deployment.
