Madagascar-based AXIAN Energy has acquired the 54 MW Bangweulu Solar PV plant in Zambia, by expanding its footprint across Africa. The facility, is part of the World Bank’s Scaling Solar program, was financed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). It has been supplying reliable electricity to more than 82,500 households, by improving local energy access and supporting community development.
