US-based Avangrid, Inc., a member of the Iberdrola Group, has reported generating approximately 13,000 GWh of electricity during the first half of 2025 from its portfolio of 80 US power facilities, enough to supply about 2.4 million homes. According to Avangrid, solar output rose by 125% compared to the same period in 2024, supported by three new projects in Texas, California, and Ohio adding 600 MW of capacity. Avangrid currently has 10 projects providing over 1.5 GW to data centers and nearly 700 MW under construction. Avangrid has more than 10.5 GW of total generation capacity and plans to invest $20 billion in US grid infrastructure by 2030. Its contribution has helped Iberdrola’s global capacity exceed 57,000 MW in 2025.
