India-headquartered Avaada Group has planned to invest INR 50,000 crore (~$5.73 billion)in Madhya Pradesh over five years, with most projects expected in three to four years. Over time, it expanded into solar, wind, and battery storage projects. The investment had support from global investors like Thailand’s PTT Group and Brookfield, with funding secured for ongoing projects under SECI tenders. India's solar capacity grew from 10 GW to 30 GW annually, aiming for 50 GW to meet the 500 GW non-fossil fuel goal. Solar panel production increased from 5 GW to 60 GW. Rising power demand was linked to economic growth and the Make in India initiative.
