AMEA Power, a Dubai-based renewable energy company, has announced that financial close has been achieved for its 50 MW solar PV project in Ivory Coast. The company said the project’s construction is progressing steadily and represents a key milestone in its operations across West Africa. Once completed, it is expected to generate around 85 GWh of power annually, providing electricity to approximately 358,000 households. The plant is also projected to reduce more than 52,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The project has been financed by FMO and DEG and aligns with the government’s target of increasing renewables to 45 percent of the national mix by 2030. AMEA Power confirmed it will become its first operational project in Ivory Coast, enhancing the nation’s energy security and sustainability.
