AESOLAR, a Germany-based Tier 1 photovoltaic manufacturer, has received DIBt certification in May 2025 for its Horizon series modules, becoming the first Tier 1 PV company approved for overhead use. Issued by the German Institute for Building Technology under approval number Z-70.3-308, the certification includes general building and design approval for non-regulated construction products. Certified models AE CMD-108BDS and AE CMD-144BDS are bifacial glass-glass modules offering up to 22.31% efficiency, 8% light transparency, and hail resistance. These modules are suited for solar roofs, walkways, carports, and agricultural structures, with operating ranges from -40°C to +85°C and a product warranty of up to 30 years. This regulatory clearance enables AESOLAR to supply fully compliant overhead solar solutions across structural applications throughout Europe.
