AESOLAR, a Germany-based manufacturer of PV modules, has announced that its Alpine Series was validated at TÜV Rheinland’s Cologne laboratory under extreme hail impact conditions. According to AESOLAR, the modules were tested against 40 mm hailstones striking at 27.54 m/s, equivalent to more than 11 joules of energy, at 16 different impact points on the surface.AESOLAR hasstated that the results showed no visible damage, no micro-cracks in electroluminescence testing, and no power degradation under inspection. AESOLAR confirmed that insulation resistance and wet leakage current evaluations were also successfully passed without issues. The Alpine Series, which features up to 23.05% efficiency, 3.2 mm tempered safety glass, and a T6 aluminum alloy frame, is designed to ensure durability, stability, and long-term performance reliability for EPCs and distributors in regions with extreme weather conditions.
