Adani Green Energy Limited, an Ahmedabad-based renewable energy developer, has received an upgrade in its long-term credit rating from CareEdge Ratings to AA with a Stable outlook from AA-, as per a note released on Monday. CareEdge Ratings said that Adani Green Energy Limited has demonstrated strong execution capabilities with a 15.8 GW AC operational portfolio consisting of solar, wind, and hybrid assets, alongside a 15.1 GW AC under-construction pipeline targeted for completion within five years. The company has operated 5.6 GWAC at Khavda, Gujarat, and aims to establish a cumulative 30 GWAC capacity there going forward. According to CareEdge Ratings, operational performance has remained robust with high availability, strong cash flows, and revenue certainty supported by 25-year power purchase agreements covering 83 percent of the portfolio. The outlook also factored in equity infusion of INR 9,350crore (~ $1.12 billion) by the Adani family and strategic support from TotalEnergies.
