ACME Venus Urja, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings, has secured INR 3,892 crore (~ $428 million) in long-term project funding from State Bank of India. The financing, with repayment spread across 19 years, is ACME’s largest funding arrangement with SBI and marks SBI’s first financing of the company’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy projects. The 400 MW project is being developed in Barmer, Rajasthan, under a power purchase agreement with NHPC at a tariff of INR 4.64 (~ $0.051) per unit. The facility will combine solar generation with a Battery Energy Storage System to ensure dispatchable power supply as per contractual obligations. ACME Solar Holdings, headquartered in Gurugram, India, said the funding supports the construction and operation of the FDRE project, designed to deliver higher reliability and grid integration.
