ACEN, a Philippines-based renewable energy developer, has developed the 60 MW San Manuel PV facility in San Manuel, Philippines. The ground-mounted installation uses 108,752 solar panels and generates about 94 GWh of electricity annually for local supply. According to the source, annual generation from the San Manuel Solar facility is equivalent to avoiding more than 58,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions each year. The Pangasinan project is connected to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines through a dedicated 1.8 km transmission line linked to the 69 kV San Manuel Substation. Development of the Pangasinan PV facility followed ACEN’s December 2022 acquisition of Sinocalan Solar Power Corp.
