ACEN Australia, a Sydney-based renewable energy company and subsidiary of AC Energy Corporation, has achieved full commercial operation of the A$ 760 million (~ $ 495 million), 400 MW Stubbo Solar project in New South Wales. As per ACEN Australia, Stubbo is the first solar generator under a Long-Term Energy Service Agreement (LTESA) to reach this stage. The facility, located around 10 km north of Gulgong, supplies electricity sufficient for approximately 185,000 households. During construction, the company invested nearly A$ 85 million (~ $ 55 million) in the state’s economy, including A$ 60 million (~ US$ 39 million) through local employment and regional contracts. PCL Construction acted as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor, whileLumea managed grid connection. The project design includes provision for a 200 MW / 800 MWh battery energy storage system.
