Mahindra Susten has announced a substantial investment of INR 1,200 Crore for a 150MW hybrid renewable energy project, combining solar and wind power. The project will consist of 101 MW of wind capacity and 52 MW of solar capacity, with the aim of generating 460 million kWh of energy and reducing 420,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Completion is expected within 2 years, with more than 80% of the components being locally manufactured. This initiative is in line with the Mahindra Group’s commitment to utilizing 100% renewable energy by 2030, contributing to raising M&M’s renewable energy usage from 34% in FY23 to 60% in FY26.
