Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Renewable EPC division has secured the contract for a 1.8 GW PV Plant in Dubai, part of the sixth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. The project aims to annually reduce 2.4 million tons of carbon emissions on its 20 sq km site, featuring Gas Insulated Substations, high voltage underground cabling, and medium voltage distribution networks. Masdar signed a Power Purchase Agreement with DEWA for the project, with DEWA holding a 60% stake and serving as the exclusive off-taker of the generated power.
