An American renewable energy company,LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) announced over 700 MW (AC) of renewable energy projects in Oklahoma, supported by PPAs with Google. These projects enhance grid reliability, support energy independence, and align with Google’s 24/7 carbon-free energy goal. The 372MW (AC) Mayes County Solar Portfolio, near Google’s Pryor data center, includes three projects: Salt Branch Solar (145 MW (AC)), Huckleberry Solar (125 MW (AC)), and Mayes Solar (102 MW (AC)). Additional projects, Twelvemile Solar 1, 2, and 3, add 352.5 MW (AC). These projects, developed with Red River Renewable Energy, GRDA, SunChase, and Eolian, will power 865,000 homes annually and avoid 3.7 million metric tons of CO2. They will create 300 jobs, generate $76 million in tax revenue, and contribute to local initiatives.
