LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. has broken the world-record for silicon solar cell efficiency, achieving 27.30% under lab conditions, certified by Germany’s Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH). This marks the 17th time LONGi has set such a record since April 2021. The company also unveiled the Hi-MO 9 module, capable of up to 660 W with a conversion efficiency of 24.43%. The Hi-MO 9 utilizes 2nd generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) solar cell technology and the TaiRay wafer. Panels will be produced at LONGi’s Jiaxing Production Base, recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Global Lighthouse Factory for accelerating Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies in manufacturing.
